An English Country Garden

Big bouncy in dogs in formal gardens?  Well, apparently yes!  It transpires there are some beautiful English gardens which generously welcome dogs on leads.  Who knew?!

Marley, Bugsy, Polly and Jessie

I love to take Polly visiting with me wherever possible, so was delighted to discover she would be permitted, along with my sisters' dogs, to share our family visit to Doddington Place Gardens on Sunday afternoon, to celebrate our Mum's birthday.

Setting out on our walk

With a party of fifteen family members and four lively dogs, it promised to be a lively outing!

Fiona and Bugsy

My sister Fiona brought along Polly's German Shepherd buddy Bugsy ...

Tina and Jessie

Our sister Tina drove all the way from Hampshire with her cheeky little Cockerpoo Jessie ...

Minding Bugsy and Marley

And brother-in-law-soon-to-be Simon, ensured big boys Bugsy and Marley watched their 'P's' and 'Q's!

Looking for frogs in the rock garden

Polly absolutely loved having our young nieces to explore with ...

Just chillin' with the family

And thankfully, didn't make a fuss about being on her lead, happy just to be out in the fresh air having fun with our family and her furry friends.

Maggie the vulture

All four dogs were so good, even sitting patiently so we could watch 'Maggie' the vulture being flown across the lawn!

Proud of our Polly!

It was a lovely family afternoon and me and my husband Stuart were proud to have Polly along with us.  She was polite, friendly and well behaved ... perfect for an English country garden!

Happy birthday to our Mum

I'd like to thank my sisters for kindly sharing their photographs with me so I could write this blog post, thanks all! :) xxx

Thank you also to Doddington Place Gardens for making us and our dogs, so welcome. Full details for visiting these enchanting gardens can be found here: http://www.doddingtonplacegardens.co.uk/

Photographing the photographer ... I took this one!

Incidentally, Jessie's mum Tina is a professional photographer, so if you would like to see more of her work, you are welcome to visit her website at:

Me 'n my girl!

And before I sign off, a sneaky picture of my husband and Polly craftily snapped by my sister Fiona ... and this the man who supposedly didn't want a dog!!!!  Ha!!!
